DeSoto and Duncanville finally collided in a blockbuster Region II Final matchup between traditional rivals. For the first time in two years, DeSoto and Duncanville where placed in the same district. This year’s game was cancelled, so the two teams did not meet during the regular season.

Duncanville prevailed in a back-and-forth game 56-28 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Tx. Duncanville jumped out to a 28-7 lead but Desoto would not go away, Duncanville was led by an explosive passing attack that featured Grayson James throwing for 471 yards and Roderick Daniels accounting for 267 yards, 8 catches, and 1 touchdown. Chris Hicks Jr. also chipped in 5 catches for 100 yards and a touchdown. Once again, Duncanville’s stifling defense caused problems the entire night for Desoto’s offense. Duncanville will move forward to face Southlake next week at Globe Life Field in Arlington,TX for the right to advance to state.
