Duncanville begins new season
September 3, 2020
The Duncanville Panthers enter the season ranked #2 in Dave Campbell’s initial 6a football rankings released last week. For Duncanville, this will mark the third season in a row that they have started in the top 10. Number 1 is a familiar foe, Galena Park North Shore.
Duncanville will attempt to make it to their third straight state final matchup but will have to do so in a new region. The Panthers now sit in Region 2 and will face new opponents from the Waco area and Cypress areas of Texas.
For Duncanville this marks a changing of the guard at quarterback, as senior Grayson James has transferred in to take over the role vacated by Ja’Quinden Jackson who graduated last year.
Duncanville returns an all-star cast with key players like Jadarius Thursby, Savion Byrd and Kendrick Blackshire.
Duncanville is followed in the top ten rankings by Katy, Westlake, Guyer, and Allen.
