Janet Bartoo is part of multiple programs including Commercial Photography 1, Practicum of Agriculture, Food, & Natural Resources, Horticulture, Floral Design and as a FFA sponsor. Further expanding on her role in the Floral Design program, Bartoo explains that the class teaches everything that a student can do in a retail flower shop in order to make money. She has been taking part in and teaching this program for 2 years. Bartoo grew up around agriculture her whole life. This inspired her interest in the topic and helped Bartoo make the decision of wanting to teach it. Bartoo explains that a major key factor in keeping her students focused and engaged in the classroom is by having them do a lot of projects. This keeps them attentive since they are working on something they enjoy and are having fun all at the same time.
