Shooting Senior Photos

Senior Portraits are in high demand this time of year, but how do we make pictures that capture the true essence of a person and make it worth their money?  Every client has a different personality and its important to be able to capture them as they are.  You cant take a serious person and expect them to be comfortable smiling for a photographer, this is why it is important to get your client comfortable don’t force them to smile if they don’t like it.  For example, my client was naturally photogenic and comfortable in front of the cameras.  The key is to tell a story to show them in their prime of life.

Allow them to make Pinterest boards that will give you n idea of how they want to look, pose dress, and etc.

Stick to simple outfits.  Changing in the middle of a park can be very hard.

Another key aspect is lighting and location, it plays a key role because it enhances quality of the image.  And lastly have music playing in the background set the mood, make conversation.  With all these tips you will be able to have a successful session.
