Jeffrey Thorpe has been teaching for about 9 years, and is currently teaching
the Automotive Technology program here at Duncanville High School. He says that the program is here to allow
students to learn the skills that are being taught in a dealership. Thorpe believes
that when students have learned everything they need to in the program, they
will have the right knowledge and prepared when going to an actual program. Thorpe
observed the lack of knowledge and teaching that was being taught in the
program, which then made him want to be in this field. He tries to apply
real world situations to help his students learn and comprehend the
physics they need to know about this career.
