Boys soccer team to face Waco Midway in first round of playoffs
After finishing a tight district 7-6A race, the boys soccer team will face Waco Midway Thursday night at Waxahachie High School at 7 pm in the first round of State Playoffs.
“This sis a team that is resilient,” head coach Nuno Passos said. “They seem to find ways not to lose games.”
As they team enters the playoffs, Passos said the team knows what it takes to win games against the toughest opponent. District 7-6A has three of the top 10 teams in the Dallas Morning News polls.

“These teams have battle tested us and prepared us for the playoffs,” Passos said. “From the first place team to the fifth place team in this district there are only 1- 1.5 points that separate them in the standings.”
In order to move past the first round Passos said the tem must continue to work together.
“They must believe and play united for each other in pursuit of excellence,” Passos said.
