With the girl’s basketball season closing another chapter, the sub-varsity teams are happy with the success they have experienced and what they have to look forward to in the coming years.
“ We did good at first we were a little shaky but towards the end we started to get it together,” sophomore JV player Shannon Franklin said.
Both teams had trouble producing wins in the first half of the season. The teams had trouble communicating and just playing as one.
“ We had to learn how to play as a team because we had many things trying to bring us down,” freshman player Bria Jackson said.
The teams did just that. They learned how to communicate more as a team and began to play together as a family. They began to produce wins as if they had been doing it all year.
“ We didn’t get along very good at first, but then we became a family,” freshman player DeAndrea Wheeler said.
The team is looking forward to next season with a positive outlook. They think if they could just play together like they did towards the end of he year, they will be just fine.
“ We will be on top and more aggressive next year,” Franklin said.
