Last Friday night the varsity soccer teams played against Cedar Hill. The boys won the game 6-0 and the girls tied this game 1-1.
The varsity girls played Cedar Hill and tied the game 1-1. Before the game, the girls also participated in Cedar Hill’s pink out game. The girls showed their support by wearing their pink game jerseys during the ceremony. In remembrance of Coach Neal’s wife that past away to breast cancer last season. However, despite the emotional ceremony, the game still went on. Cedar Hill scored in the first half and the panthers were losing 1-0 at halftime. Finally, at the end of the second half, the girls came back for a tie.
The varsity boys keep their winning streak alive, winning 6-0. They let no goals through, like they did in their first game against them. Three goals were made in the first half. Senior Damion Passos, senior Carlos Macias, and junior Eder Falcon scored in the first half leading into halftime. In the second half, sophomore Tim Ugo led the second half with another goal. Senior Christopher Escalera scored the fifth goal from a penalty kick, and finally senior Geo Torres scored the last goal for the panthers making it a 6-0 game.
Both varsity teams play tonight at their home field at Old Panther Field against Grand Prairie. Boys start at 6:00 P.M. and the girls will follow after playing at 8:00 P.M.
