Saturday Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Youth Center will be hosting it’s 2013 KAGE Drumline and Cypher competition for high school students in the local area.
“KAGE is great for back to school. We need something to keep us encouraged” this year’s host J. Paul said.
Short for Kingdom Agenda Generational Experience, KAGE provides the opportunity for high school students to interact with each other through drumline battles, live performances and even door prizes. Many drumlins from the local schools around the area are set to participate in the event, and coordinators are hoping that many students from these schools come as well to support their peers.
“You’re going to come and you’re going to hear a lot of good stuff, have a lot of fun and hear things you wouldn’t expect to hear,” Paul said. “Come and be encouraged. Come and have fun.”
With the event set to start at 8p.m., students in the 9th through 12th grades will be able to enter the event when doors open at 7. Everyone involved with the event says they’re looking forward to hosting and promise that it will be worth attending.
“I just have five words,” Paul said, “It’s about to go down.”
